French Language Tour

During the mid-year break a number of international trips take place. One of these is the Middle Years, cross campus French Language Tour which left on Saturday 18 June for New Caledonia and will return to Melbourne on Saturday 25 June.

Students will enjoy a seven night language tour of Noumea, New Caledonia where they will attended intensive French lessons at the CREIPAC language centre (which is located in an old prison) in order to further develop their conversational skills.

Not only do students practise their French speaking skills but also immerse themselves in the local culture and see the sights. They recently experienced a half day guided visit to Tjibaou Cultural Centre and a visit to the local market.

Students also enjoy activities such as kayaking, swimming, a visit to the aquarium, learning about Indigenous history and artefacts and experiencing music, cultural dancing and sampling local delicacies.
