2016 Victorian Slalom Canoe Championships
The 2016 Victorian Slalom Canoe Championships ran from Saturday 26 November to Sunday 27 November with the Ivanhoe competitors performing to a very high standard.
A total of 25 Ivanhoe Grammar School students competed in the carnival and following is a list of those students who took out the Victorian Championships:
1st C2 Mens Class: James O’Donoghue Hayes (Year 12) & Aiden O’Callaghan (Year 12)
1st C1 Mens Class: Tristan Carter (Year12)
1st C1 Womens: Maddison Wilson (Year12)
1st K1 Mens Class: Tristan Carter (Year 12)
These students finished ahead of many fancied senior paddlers which is an outstanding effort. In addition, a number of other students took out several podium (2nd & 3rd) places.
