2014 VCE Results

2014 has yet again been a great year for students completing their VCE at Ivanhoe Grammar School.

The highest performing VCE student at The Ridgeway Campus this year is Sarah Webster who achieved an ATAR of 99.85, placing her in the top 1% of the state.

Since joining Ivanhoe, Sarah has performed to a very high standard across all subject areas and received a Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award, demonstrating dedication and commitment to her studies. Not only is Sarah a gifted musician but she has received a variety of Academic Achievement Awards and embraced all aspects of life throughout her time at Ivanhoe. Sarah was amongst the first group of students to receive the Ivanhoe Diploma and received 88% in first year university Maths in 2014.

The Dux of the Plenty Campus for 2014 is Selby Rogers who attained an ATAR of 97. Throughout his time at the School, Selby has achieved excellent academic results, particularly in Maths and Science. In 2013 Selby achieved a High Distinction in the Australian National Chemistry Quiz and the ICAS Science Competition. Selby was also an integral member of the Ivanhoe Rugby team and Basketball team.

Ivanhoe twins, Lukas and Oliver Anagnostou also achieved outstanding ATAR results, attaining 99.8 and 99.2 respectively. The twins have remained consistently high achievers and have a keen interest in Maths and Science and have made the most of the opportunities on offer at Ivanhoe. Lukas aims to study Mathematics and Physics at Melbourne University and Oliver is interested in Astro-Physics.

In addition, three students from Ivanhoe Grammar School also achieved a perfect subject score of 50. Nathaniel Sgambellone (English), Lukas Anagnostou (Maths Methods) and Year 11 student Benjamin Summers (Further Maths).

“The School is again gratified that with the support of staff and our learning environment, students’ academic outcomes have again been maximised and we look forward to learning of the students’ destinations in terms of tertiary study.’’ said the Principal, Rod Fraser.

The School now eagerly awaits the release of IB results early in the new year, which will provide a full picture of the fantastic results of the Class of 2014 and the Dux of the Ridgeway Campus will be announced.
